Strolling Jim made history by becoming the very first World Grand Champion Tennessee Walking Horse back in 1939. It was the first year of the National Celebration show. Breed historians still consider him to be among the finest, most natural Tennessee Walkers there ever was. A son of Wilson's Allen (the great early stallion who also sired Midnight Sun), Strolling Jim did much to promote the breed outside of Tennessee and was also the first TWH to fly in an airplane! Amazingly, Strolling Jim started his life as an underweight, overworked plow horse who just happened to be discovered by a man (Henry Davis) who saw his potential. Artist Heather Rohde's fine limited edition portrait of this famous horse is a true collector's item for the Tennessee Walker enthusiast! You can buy Strolling Jim either unframed or framed under glass in a beautiful brown wood designer frame with an antique white mat. We also offer a deluxe canvas giclée version that has been hand-stretched over a pine support and beautifully presented in a solid wood double-tone brown frame. Ready to hang on your wall right out of the box! Your Strolling Jim famous Tennessee Walker horse art is hand signed and numbered by Rohde and is of exceptional quality. A Certificate of Authenticity is included. You are buying direct from the artist!
