Own this rare art portrait of horse racing legend Exterminator!
Known affectionately as "Old Bones" due to his angular appearance, Exterminator had one of the most amazing and lengthy careers of any Thoroughbred racehorse in history. First stepping onto a track in 1917, Exterminator won 50 of his 99 starts, including the 1918 Kentucky Derby! He was named U.S. Champion Older Horse 1920 to 1922 and Horse of the Year in 1922. Exterminator's career record of 33 stakes wins has never been broken by any Thoroughbred horse raced in North America. The great gelding ran his last race in 1924 and spent the rest of his life in peaceful retirement with a pony companion. Now you can bring the magnificence of Exterminator into your home with Rohde's fine art portrait showing two views of the beloved horse. You can buy Exterminator as fine art reproductions either unframed or framed in a beautiful brown wood designer frame and matted in antique white. A quote on bottom of the piece reads: "Everyone loves and reverences this brave and noble creature, and he will be remembered as long as generous hearts warm to brave and noble deeds." Your Exterminator horse racing art is hand signed and numbered by the artist and is of exceptional quality. A Certificate of Authenticity is included. Exterminator is a must have for the collector of Thoroughbred horse racing memorabilia or anyone who loves the history of the sport!
