Skip Away (Skip Trial x Ingot Way) won 18 of his 38 starts, coming in second 10 times, with earnings of nearly $10 million. He was U.S. Champion 3-year-old Colt in 1996 and U.S. Champion Older Male Horse in 1997 and 1998 as well as Horse of the Year in 1998. Among his major wins were the Woodbine Million (1996), Breeders' Cup Classic (1997), and the Jockey Club Gold Cup (1996 and 1997). Skip Away even beat legendary champion Cigar! At stud, Skip Away had 21 stakes winners who earned nearly $20 million.
