Bold Ruler (Nasrullah x Miss Disco by Discovery) was an impressive Hall of Fame Thoroughbred racehorse and a phenomenal sire. He won 23 of his 33 races, including the 1957 Wood Memorial and Preakness Stakes. He was voted the Eclipse Award as 1957 Champion 3-Year-Old, Champion Sprinter, and Horse of the Year. Bold Ruler became the leading sire in North America for seven straight years. He produced such greats as Bold Lad, Bold Bidder, Gamely, Successor, and most importantly, the legendary Triple Crown champion Secretariat! Bold Ruler is also the grandsire of Ruffian, 1976 Kentucky Derby winner Bold Forbes, and 1979 Kentucky Derby winner Spectacular Bid. Bold Ruler is the great-grandsire of Triple Crown winner Seattle Slew!
