Add this fine art tribute to horse racing star Landaluce to your home!
Landaluce was out of the first crop of foals sired by Triple Crown winner Seattle Slew in 1980. Trained by D. Wayne Lukas, Landaluce started five times, winning five times. Landaluce's combined winning margin was a whopping 46-1/2 lengths! She blew away her rivals in the Hollywood Lassie Stakes, winning by the greatest margin of victory ever run in any race by a two-year-old horse at Hollywood Park. Sadly, Landaluce's life was cut short due to the disease Colitis X. The Hollywood Lassie Stakes was renamed the Landaluce Stakes in her honor. Landaluce is still remembered as one of the most impressive fillies in American horse racing.Artist Heather Rohde's detailed, accurate art portrait of Landaluce features two views of the great horse. A quote on the border of the piece reads: "You search and you look, and then all of a sudden it comes, that star, and you know you have been blessed with something special." You can purchase Landaluce either unframed or framed under glass in a beautiful brown designer wood frame with an antique white mat. Your Landaluce Thoroughbred horse racing art is hand signed and numbered by the artist and is of exceptional quality. A Certificate of Authenticity is included. Satisfaction guaranteed!
